The Invitation
Our Body is our Sacred Vehicle, and our health and vitality are our greatest assets.
The Retreat is designed to Empower Health & Healing through Body-Mind Integration.

Decorative Shape

We'll focus on rejuvenating the Life Force of our Kidneys through the lens of Chi-gong, Embodied Anatomy, and Restorative Movement.

The National Kidney Foundation states that kidney health “is an under-recognized public health crisis”.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the kidneys represent the foundation of the body’s energy, the balance of yin/yang, and the storage of our life’s essence.

A Pathway to Wellness  - Where Movement Meets Mindfulness.

Elevate your wellness through Embodied Practices designed to harmonize body and mind as we unlock pathways to pain relief, improved posture, and enhanced vitality, all rooted in decades of expert guidance and compassionate support.

What You Can Expect

This women’s retreat is an opportunity to slow down and connect with how life force moves through us, impacting our body systems, specifically the life force of the kidneys.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the kidney system governs; the kidneys, adrenal glands, bladder (we will also be working on the pelvic floor), reproductive organs, ears, teeth, bones & joints, and stem cells.

We will explore each of these elements, releasing blocked energy in the kidneys along with the associated emotion of fear, any held shocks or deep fright we may have experienced to recharge and rejuvenate - designed to rediscover the body’s innate wisdom to heal parts that may have been left untended.

Our Tools:

  • Visualization - stress reduction, improved focus, supports healing.

  • Sounding - opens blocks, invites expansion.

  • Mindful Movement - build a "felt-sense" of your body.

  • Restorative Movement - balance, coordination, strength, flexibility.

  • Breath - blood oxygenation, can calm or stimulate.

  • Guided Meditation - to effect change on a deep level.

  • Chi-gong Practice of “Lift Chi Up Pour Chi Down” - energize and integrates.

  • Working with Soft Balls & Soft Roller - supports hydration of the fascia, impacting meridians.

Our deep dive into the body, opens a Pathway of Self-Discovery designed to awaken your inner resilience, intuition, creativity, and clarity as embodiment fosters balance and integration.

Our journey towards Empowered Health will leverage the transformative power of the Body-Mind integration techniques that I've developed and used for decades in my unique synthesis of Chi-gong, Embodied Anatomy, and Restorative Movement.

Experience the power of Body-Mind Harmony with an emphasis on the kidney system. Whether you're seeking to energize the body/mind continuum, ease stress, or heal long-held patterns of imbalance, our retreat is your gateway to a rejuvenated self.

What is a "felt-sense" - the ability to feel / recognize internal sensations and energy flow.

Build a “felt-sense” relationship with your body to:

  • Release blocks and enhance vitality

  • Increase energy and decrease stress

  • Improve posture and body awareness

What is Chi-gong?

With roots in Chinese medicine, the ancient practice of chi-gong is known for enhancing vitality, strengthening balance, and bringing inner peace through gentle, fluid, meditative movements, accessible to all ages and fitness levels.

Chi-gong is communication between the body, mind, and the deep forces of the universe; our practice invites the physical, mental and emotional parts to experience a seamless, balanced continuum.

What is Embodied Anatomy?

Embodied Anatomy refers to the study and understanding of human anatomy through direct physical experience and kinesthetic awareness, gaining insights into movement, alignment, and function.

We’ll explore the intersecting pathways of anatomy and movement to release blockages and rediscover freedom in the body.

What is Restorative Movement?

Restorative Movement provides an opportunity to build awareness of dynamic alignment for the health of our muscular skeletal and organ systems.

Based on my work as an instructor of the Alexander Technique and my dance background, we’ll balance the weights of the body and move our spine in all planes of motion: flexion, extension, lateral, spiral, and wave motion.

Restorative Movement enhances overall balance, creating ease in daily activities.

Benefits of Integrating These Practices:

  • Enhances energy flow.

  • Reduces stress and promotes relaxation.

  • Boosts the immune system.

  • Improves balance and coordination and posture.

  • Enhances flexibility and strength.

  • Supports mental and emotional well-being.

  • Improves respiratory function.

  • Promotes self-awareness and mindfulness.

  • It’s fun, and feels good!
